The Journal of Public Health Management & Practice (JPHMP) is a peer-reviewed publication that was created by Dr. Lloyd Novick in 1995. JPHMP was founded as a platform for public health practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to produce and share evidence-based solutions to improve the health of the population.

After 22 years of service as an Editorial Board member, Dr. Peggy Honoré rendered her retirement upon the death of her mentor and journal founder, Dr. Novick. During her years of service, Dr. Honoré was guest editor on 3 supplemental issues, led a collaborated with the JPHMP to secure a $40million federal appropriation for public health systems research, created and led for 17 years the Public Health Finance Roundtable as an adjunct meeting of APHA, and  defined the field of public health finance.

Dr. Honoré, along with a fellow colleague Dr. Paul Erwin, are recognized for their service in a January 2026 posting to the JPHMP Direct that can be found at the link below.
