The New & Early-Stage Investigators Research Interest Group brings together researchers across disciplines and areas of public health who are
building and advancing their independent research programs. The group provides a collaborative
forum for investigators to share ideas, identify research and funding opportunities,
exchange resources and expertise, and develop connections across LSU Health New Orleans.
Through peer engagement, mentorship, and collaborative activities, the group supports research development, grant and manuscript preparation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and identifying and navigating resources relevant to early-career investigators. Our goal is to foster a supportive research community that helps new and early-stage investigators build sustainable programs of research and progress toward research independence.
