The Louisiana Tumor Registry (LTR) legislative rules (LAC 48: V.8501-8515) state that all Louisiana healthcare facilities that diagnose and/or treat cancer patients are required to abstract and report each case of cancer to the LTR withinsix monthsof diagnosis or of the facility’s first contact with the patient.

What are LTR’s staging requirements?
As an NCI-SEER and CDC-NPCR registry, the Louisiana Tumor Registry (LTR) requires that all cases submitted to the LTR are properly staged utilizing the following mandatory staging systems:
- AJCC TNM
- EOD 2018
- Summary Stage 2018
- Pediatric Data Collection System (PDCS) required 2025+ for 0-39YO & ALL AGES for certain schemas
