with a focus on issues affecting Louisiana
Dr. Jim Diaz's research interests: impact of climate changes on natural disasters public health outcomes, arthropod-borne emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, food and waterborne infectious diseases, medical toxicology, environmental and occupational toxicology, neurotoxicology, occupational health and medicine, prevention and control of infectious diseases and injuries in travelers.

Dr. Chih-yang Hu's research interests include water quality and resource management, wetland restoration, water source conservation, biological water treatment, environmental sciences and impact of climate change, community-based participatory reearch, and health risk assessment.
Dr. Daniel Harrington's research interests are primarily in air pollution and exposure assessment.
Dr. David’s Lirrette’s research interests are in analytical and forensic toxicology, ecotoxicology, and monitoring aquatic animals as sentinels of water quality.
